Choi+Shine, Brookline MA, have just won the 2010 Boston Society of Architects Unbuilt Architecture Award for their ingenious project ‘The Land of Giants’, commissioned by Landsnet, a public company that owns and runs the electrical transmission system in Iceland.

What might have been mundane electrical pylons now have something of an ‘Angel of the North’ quality to them, instantly making them an iconic feature of the Icelandic landscape and a statement design with a functional purpose.
