The 18th edition of St Moritz Gourmet food festival, which starts today, (31 January - 4 February) will aim to raise the local gastronomic fare to the heady heights of the mountain peaks in Switzerland's Upper Engadine region.

Highlights include mountain lunches, chocolate tastings and gourmet safaris with ten guest chefs including Wassim Hallal of Frederikshøj Aarhus restaurant in Denmark, recently chosen by René Redzepi of Noma, as one of the best chefs working today and included in Coco - Phaidon's guide to today's best contemporary chefs and restaurants.
